Consular Consolidated Database Performance Issues Continue to Affect Visa Turnaround Times

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Consular Affairs has advised that the Consular Consolidated Database (CCD) is still performing below its normal operational capacity.  The performance issues began on July 20th following an internal software update.  The CCD is currently operating at half capacity, and expects to return to normal turnaround times for issued visa within the next few weeks.  Despite the operational issues, the CCD has continued to prioritize immigration visas, adoption cases, and emergency nonimmigrant visas, and is issuing passports for emergency travel without delay.  For more information, please see the DOS’ update and FAQ’s here.
