Newsflash – Obama to Announce Immigration Rollout on Friday

President Barack Obama is scheduled to announce plans for impending immigration reform at an event in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, November 21, 2014.  The anticipated executive action would protect four million undocumented immigrants who would qualify for deferred deportation through criteria such as longevity in the U.S. and family ties; another one million would receive protection from other means that have not yet been specified.  Sources say that there will be no special protection for farm workers or parents of Dreamers, but that individuals with U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident children could qualify.

Obama’s turn to executive action comes after House Republicans failed to bring the immigration bill that was passed by the Senate in June 2013 to the floor.  For more information, please visit
