U.S. to Require Air Travelers to Provide Proof of Negative COVID-19 Test Results Within One Day of Travel

Beginning December 6, 2021, all air passengers 2 years or older, regardless of their nationality or vaccination status, must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test administered within one calendar day of returning to the United States. Previously, a negative test administered up to three days before U.S. travel was considered valid. Individuals who have recently recovered from COVID-19 infection may provide alternate evidence documenting their recovery.
