U.S. to Restrict Travel from India Beginning on May 4, 2021

On April 30, 2021, the White House announced that President Biden will issue new travel restrictions on India that would prevent most non-U.S. citizens/permanent residents from entering the United States.  These new restrictions are expected to go into effect on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

The Associated Press reported that this decision was made following advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

We are awaiting details regarding the restrictions but would recommend that any individuals who believe they may be affected by them plan accordingly.
