USCIS Adjusts Fees, Effective October 2, 2020

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced on July 31, 2020, that it will adjust fees for certain immigration and naturalization benefit requests. The new fees will go into effect on October 2, 2020.

The fee changes include:

  • H-1B (Person in Specialty Occupation) visa petitions will have a fee of $555 (previously $460)
  • L (Intracompany Transferee) visa petitions will have a fee of $805 (previously $460)
  • O-1 (individuals with extraordinary ability or achievement) visa petitions will have a fee of $705 (previously $460)
  • I-140 (Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker) petitions will have a fee of $555 (previously $700)
  • I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence) applications will have a fee of $1,130 (previously $1,140)
  • N-400 (Application for Naturalization) will have a fee of $1,160 for an online filing or a fee of $1,170 for a paper filing (both previously $640)
